Join AMWA and MedPride for a film screening and discussion about access to healthcare. “Ours to Tell” is the story of four people who live full and empowered lives because they had the freedom to access abortion. This film comes as communities of color, LGBTQ people, and many others are increasingly denied access to abortion — and as people across the country face an unprecedented assault on the legal right to access it.
We would like to invite you to attend this invaluable session on Suicide Prevention Training presented by Alison Sutton-Ryan, our Director of Mental Health Services for GME and UME at UA COM. During this session you will learn that by following three steps: 1) Question, 2) Persuade, and 3) Refer —you are able to help save a life from suicide.
As a QPR-trained gatekeeper you will be informed on how to:
Recognize the warning signs of suicide
Know how to offer hope
Know how to get help and save a life
Are you interested in the Research Distinction Track? Medical Summer Research Program?
